About Me.
Hi, I’m Lori—a passionate UX/UI designer with a background in computer science and math. I’m currently on a journey to bridge the gap between technology and design, focusing on creating accessible and user-friendly experiences.
My Journey: My path began with a love for problem-solving, which led me to pursue a degree in math and computer science. As I delved deeper into coding and development, I realized that the true impact of technology lies in how it’s experienced by users. This realization sparked my interest in UX/UI design, where I found a perfect blend of creativity and technical expertise.
My Design Philosophy: I believe that great design should be inclusive and easy to use. I believe that great design should be intuitive and available to everyone, regardless of their background or abilities. As a new designer, I’m eager to learn and grow, constantly refining my skills to create the best possible user experiences.
What I’m Working On: Currently, I’m completing my master’s degree while working on various projects that allow me to explore the intricacies of UX/UI design. One thing I am working on is with a team to create my university's first designathon, FullyBeyond 2024.
Beyond Design: Outside of my professional life, I’m an avid climber and hiker. I’m passionate about staying active and finding balance in life. I also like to enjoy the little things like journaling or playing with my cat, Xivu
What’s Next: I’m excited about the future and the possibilities it holds. My goal is to work as a UX/UI designer, where I can continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible in user experience.
